About Me

sharp-MIND, happy-BODY, free-SPIRIT

Youthful Spirit.  Wise Soul.  Eternal Idealist.  Pragmatic Risk-Taker.

I believe in magic and that we create our own reality.
I believe in possibility.
I can always find a silver lining.

I'm loyal, compassionate, expressive and direct. My Mom says sometimes I can be stubborn, but she's wrong! (ha!)  I’ve learned the value of listening, having an open mind and holding another's truth with compassion, even when it does not match my own.  I’ve learned how imperative it is to offer my understanding, even if I don't agree.  I've learned to trust my intuition and how crucial it is to be true to myself.

With my eyes wide-open, I'd rather risk having my dreams dashed, my heart broken, than to play it safe and wonder "what if."  I'm confident and self-reliant, and believe I can do anything.  Therefore, I can!

I have a bleeding heart, an undying belief in the goodness of others, an intolerance for intolerance.  I relentlessly insist that each one of us makes a difference in this world. I advocate for less-privileged, under-served and at-risk populations. I'm reliable and committed to "doing the right thing," and try to have compassion for myself when I miss that mark. I take responsibility for my actions and their consequences. When my integrity is out, I know that it's up to me to restore it.  At times, I make mistakes and bad choices. Occasionally, I’m sarcastic and irreverent.

I'm human, imperfect, and real.

There's glorious freedom and serenity in being real, in letting all of one’s self shine, without repressing or filtering anything for fear of what others might think.   The parts of me that are messy or not so pretty, are important pieces of my puzzle, and they are every bit as important as the beautiful, powerful, amazing pieces.

I seek a comfortable balance between the extremes.  While there's always a thought-provoking book on my nightstand, you can bet that PEOPLE Magazine is right underneath!
I’m athletic and fierce (can keep up with the boys).
I love pedicures and lip gloss and heart-to-heart talks with my girls.

A former skydiver and BASE jumper, I used to be quite a thrill-seeker, but since retiring from both, I get plenty of thrill in activities that are far less extreme. Dance is my greatest passion. I began dancing lessons at 3 years old and never stopped. Years of classic ballet training led to many other types of dance, eventually leading to hip-hop, which I still do today. Also love snow skiing and wake-boarding. The former I've been doing since I was 9 years old. The latter is more entertaining for those in the boat, but I'm learning, and I always have a blast no matter how bad I look.
